Rite to stop gossip and slander
TO STOP GOSSIP OR SLANDER AGAINST YOU
Sometimes we ‘just know’ someone is talking behind our backs, conversations stop, people go quiet, and there may be a general feeling of unease
It is not necessary in many cases to ‘track down’ the culprit … leave that to Spirit, RITE
This is an ancient rite and used in many countries in times past
Gather together
Cloves … either powdered … or you can crush them yourself in a mortar and pestle
A small piece of white paper
Red ink … food colouring and a feather work great and add an extra touch
[ the ancestors may have used a bit of bark and color from a plant or mineral pigment]
If you are 100 % sure of the person spreading the gossip , use their name .. if not … and it is best to err on the side of safety … use ‘whoever is slandering me’ Write either the name or words backwards nine times on the piece of paper … it does not matter if it over laps or covers Each morning and evening for seven nights
Burn a little of the cloves on charcoal … seeing everything drift away on the smoke
On the seventh evening burn the paper with the remaining clove powder
Cast the ashes into moving water .. if not possible … bury as far from yourself as possible
The gossip will either stop or be turned back on the perpetrator This is best performed a few nights after the full moon .. when the moon heads towards dark Enjoy your peace
